Based on APH's vision, seeking to succeed in medical high quality, the Chairman had a long-term perspective to achieve the goal under the variables taking place in our time with technology, keeping the same interest of the first and last reviewers and the patient, without any shortening in providing developed medical care in all medical specialties.

Since opening the hospital in the previous building in 1990s, the chairman had put his goal to development and leadership, though the work was developed and expanded in 2000, and transmitted to the new building which was launched by His royal highness Prince\ Sultan Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud- Crown Prince of KSA.

Because of high development the medical sector witnessed, Service and technology expansion, there had to be development of Therapeutic and diagnostic equipment in different specialties and medical services, so that the hospital achieve this goal, APH started in constructing a new hospital located in Hezam St. to serve the Southern area of KSA in general. The Chairman was keen to cooperate with institutions and International Universities that have great experience in medical field, which will provides worthwhile in travel. In addition, concerned in the medical technology investment that science and applications have developed.

For APH to seek the goal and vision, high profiled experts Saudi consultants in medical services had joined the hospital, with strategic and satisfaction fees care. 

The Hospital is serving all the area of the Southern KSA, mainly cities of Abha, Khamis Mshait, Najran, Jazan and Mhayel including all villages and towns.

The targeted population is estimated around 3.2 million person with different average of income and around 55% of insurance coverage .
