Jabal Soodah is the highest peak in Saudi Arabia with 2,995 meters (10,848 feet) in height. Part of the Asir mountain ranges, it boasts some of the most dramatic views in Saudi Arabia. The coolest place and one of the most vegetated area in the Kingdom.
Asir mountains have a milder climate due to its altitude. It absorbs moisture-laden winds and mist.
Look for sign boards in Abha leading to the highest peak in Saudi Arabia. The English sign boards can be found spelled differently. Al Saudah, As Soudah, Sawdah or Al Soodah are all refers the same location.
The longest and highest rope way (cable car) in the Kingdom is in Jabal Soodah. With a length of 3,061 meter to the lower station, the cable car descends 1,183 meters. It is run by SYAHYA, The National Company for Tourism.
