About the business

The Saudi Arabian Youth Hostels Association (S.A.Y.H.A.) is a public utility overseen by board of directors and has no political or commercial nature. It is the only responsible entity for the youth hostels movement in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, by virtue of its membership in the International Youth Hostel Federation (since 1982 1402 H) and the Arab Union of Youth Hostels Associations (a founder member since 1975 / 1395H), through regulations issued to state responsibilities, within the overall trends approved by the competent authority.

The association aims to develop and support Youth Hostels Movement in the Kingdom and to develop knowledge among youth in all cities of the kingdom. It also encourages them to tour and travel everywhere in order to increase their knowledge in regard to their country, Arab, Islamic and the friendly countries. The kingdom's youth hostels are considered to be illuminating centres in the community as they contribute greatly to the service and development of society through the implementation of their programs and activities and through participating in public service programs as well as environmental service projects. This is always done through its cooperation with many institutions, bodies and community organizations for the benefit of everyone.
